Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has been told he'll be allowed to leave the club in a transfer, but the only stipulation is that it'll be to another European club.
Rooney has been under increased speculation that he will leave Old Trafford this summer after Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho's efforts to bring Rooney to the club.
Mourinho has already had two of his bids rejected but claims he won't give up the pursuit, saying that: "We will keep trying because when the market is open official bids are not forbidden. You try because nobody forbids you to try.
"We have conditions to try to improve our team with one more player. But we do have a Plan B and a Plan C."
Mourinho previously said he'll continue his pursuit for Rooney until the transfer window closes, showing dedication to making the striker his newest edition.
"We will try until the last day to add a new player to the squad a striker but in this moment every striker has a club every striker belongs to somebody and I don't think it's ethical that I name players that belong to other clubs" said Mourinho.
If Chelsea fail to sign Rooney this summer, they will likely continue their pursuit in January, and then again next summer if necessary.
