Professional snowboarder Chelone Miller, the younger brother of Olympic champion ski racer Bode Miller, was found dead on Sunday in California at age 29, according to ESPN.com.

The report says that Miller was found in Mammoth Lakes, California and that a friend of his found Miller in the van that he lived in outside of a friend's home and the police were called at 12:45 p.m. local time. According to the Mono County Sheriff's Office, Miller was confirmed dead on Monday and this far an autopsy still needs to be done to determine the cause of death.

Miller competed in three disciplines and there is no foul play suspected as Miller was prone to seizures since suffering and injury in 2005 in a crash, leaving him in a coma for nearly two weeks. Miller was well known in Mammoth Lakes and frequently spent the weekends playing golf and working on his skills. He was set to fly to Alaska for the Arctic Man race on Friday and he was friendly with other X Game athletes.

"Chilly always struck me as one to do things his way," added Nate Holland, a seven-time X Games gold medalist who competed against Miller in snowboardcross. "He'd pop up here and there in his van as kind of a lone wolf, and throw down. He was a hard-charging snowboarder."

Miller was in a crash in 2005 on a dirt bike near his home town in Easton, N.H., and said afterwards that he had no memory for the last month. He also had an accident while riding a chairlift in 2005 due to the seizures. At his only X Games appearance in 2010 he came in 28th in the Snowboarder X.
