Terry Francona is the new manager of the Cleveland Indians, but that doesn't mean he knows his way around the city, as Francona got lost on the way to the ballpark on Monday ahead of the team's home opener against the New York Yankees.

According to the Associated Press, Francona, who is living in downtown Cleveland near the ballpark, had previously said that he would take a scooter to the stadium on game days, but decided to walk on Monday. He said he was helped along by a number of people and that an Indians employee gave him a ride on a golf cart to the stadium in time for the game.

"I got lost three times," he said. "Even when I got to the garage two people who work here said, 'Hey, do you know where you're going?' I was like, 'Nope.'"

Francona said he enjoys being near the ballpark and at the game he caught the first pitch from his father, who used to play for the team. The Yankees ruined the festivities with a powering 11-6 win, with Robinson Cano hitting two home runs and driving in three RBIs for the Yankees, who have started off slow but are catching on.

Hiroki Kuroda pitched for the Yankees, while Travis Hafner made his return to Cleveland after signing a one-year deal for the Yankees. The Indians tied the game 3-3 before the Yankees busted out and the team was up 9-3 by the seventh inning and the Indians couldn't make a comeback.
