Oakland Raiders Draft Rumors: Ryan Nassib Rising As Cleveland Browns and Buffalo Bills Interested, Geno Smith Out of Top Five To Arizona Cardinals?

The Oakland Raiders are in one of the most interesting parts of the draft, as they have the third pick and could get themselves a game changing player depending on how the chiefs and Jaguars pick in front of them and one option could be Syracuse quarterback Ryan Nassib.

According to NFL.com, Nassib is quickly moving up draft boards of many pro scouts and some see him as the top rated quarterback in the draft over presumptive number on Geno Smith, who many expect to go before Nassib. The Raiders have a number of options and avenues they could go down when it comes to the pick, as they could grab Smith if he's available, as well as Dee Milliner or Sharrif Floyd from Florida.

NFL Films analyst Greg Cosell has said that he thinks Nassib is the best quarterback in the draft and others have come to support that claim, reports SI.com's Peter King. In his Monday column, King wrote that Nassib's name along with EJ Manuel keep coming up as options for teams and that if any team wants him, they will need to do it before the Bills at 41, as Doug Marrone will likely take his college quarterback.

The Kansas City Chiefs, Jacksonville Jaguars, Oakland Raiders and the Cleveland Browns could all possibly pick Nassib before Buffalo gets a chance and while many see him as a late first, second round pick, he could end up in the top 10 since the new rules keep contracts at bay. Now when team select quarterbacks early, they are not stuck with huge contracts, meaning that taking someone a bit sooner than expected isn't such a risk anymore.

The Chiefs traded for Alex Smith so they are likely out and with the Jags looking at Geno Smith, the Raiders could look at Nassib or even try and trade down with the Bills if they show they really want him. Nassib had a solid season with the Orange last year under Marrone and showed off his arm strength and work with a pro-style offense.

If he slips past the top 10, chances are that the Bills will find a way to get him despite having signed Kevin Kolb to take over for the released Ryan Fitzpatrick.
