Nov 06, 2014 06:47 PM EST

The Boston Bruins and Edmonton Oilers are playing live on the NHL schedule and the game from the TD Garden is on at 7 pm ET and has Zdeno Chara and Tuukka Rask coming in against the Oilers after an OT win and the Bruins have been one of the top teams in the east so far and they host the western conference team from Canada ahead of a game with the Devils.

The Bruins come into the game after an overtime win against the Florida Panthers and the team is now 8-6-0 on the season with 16 points. The Oilers have been struggling and they just have four wins on the season. Boston has been up and down, but they are still considered to be one of the favorites in the east this year. The team is ranked 15th in goals per game and 12th in goals per game allowed so far and they will be looking for some points on Thursday.

Brad Marchand is tops on the team in goals and he will be looking to keep things going, while the Oilers come in with Taylor Hall leading the way. Hall is tops on the team in goals and assists, but uh oh, he is about to go onto the injured list and that is a big loss for the team. Boston Bruins forward David Krejci may play in the game and that would be huge for the team, as he has been dealing with an injury.

The Oilers come into the matchup after a loss to the Philadelphia Flyers and they next will play against the Buffalo Sabres. The team has just nine points on the season and they are ranked 29th in goals against.
