The College World Series 2014 is live with Virginia taking on Ole Miss and this comes after the Cavaliers won over the TCU Horned Frogs in 15 innings to advance in the CWS at TD Ameritrade Park in Omaha and now they matchup with Mississippi for the chance to get to the championship. "

The College World Series 2014 tournament is live on the radio and streaming from ESPN and the live coverage for the Virginia Cavaliers and the Vanderbilt Commodores starts up at 8 pm ET at the CWS in Omaha and the game is from TD Ameritrade Park and is a championship series game coming up after the weekend and all the coverage will be on ESPN2 and the WatchESPN website.

Ole Miss comes into the game after beating TCU and that was a great matchup and Will Allen was the big man for the team, as he had three hits and brought in three runs on his own as the Rebels won over the Horned Frogs. The team now has to matchup with the number three national seed in Virginia and that will be a big matchup, as the Cavaliers come in after winning a 15-inning game against TCU and they have been waiting for this game.

The Rebels have shown they can deal with adversity and now they have the chance to play against Virginia and there will be no margin for error. The double elimination tournament means that Mississippi is a loss away from getting eliminated, while Virginia can lose and remain alive and that means Miss has to win games on Friday and then again on Saturday to advance. TCU had the best ERA in the nation and allowed the most runs for them in 16 games and now Allen comes in with some momentum and the Rebels have shown they do not waver even under tough circumstances.

The Rebels now have won their fourth elimination game in the tournament and they are playing up against it again with Virginia. Allen was great during the season, but he was under .220 during the last stretch of games and he did not even have a hit in the College World Series until this game and he snapped out of his funk in the best way possible. Allen put up a single to break a 4-4 tie after TCU kept coming back and he then added a run in the ninth to give the team a little extra and they ended up hanging on, with the bullpen finishing things off.

Virginia had to win a heck of a game to get moving and that lasted 15 innings and was one of the longest ever in College World Series history. Virginia also needed a walk off win against Mississippi when they played last week and that was an exciting matchup that went into the ninth close and now the Cavaliers will have to keep things going against that same Ole Miss team and the Rebels come in playing well and they feel like the wind is behind them now.

Texas and Vandy matched up on the other side of the bracket and that came after the Commodores were able to defeat the Stanford Cardinal in the round before that. Virginia won over Ole Miss earlier when the CWS started and now they will matchup against each other again since Miss was able to traverse the rest of this round. Texas knocked off the Louisville Cardinals to snap their CWS losing streak, while the Cardinals woes in Omaha continued.
