The Clasico has some extra flavor this year, as Real Madrid comes into the day tied with Atletico Madrid at the top of the table and Barca is just four points back and a win here could be huge but that will be tough on the road. Andres Iniesta said his team will be ready for a tough match and this comes after a win against Schalke in the Champions League and now they have advanced into the quarters and they will play against Borussia Dortmund and they will be the favorites in the round and now they have a chance to keep things going against Barca and they next will plays against Sevilla and they have three of the next four matchups at home. Coming down the line they have a tough schedule and they will be looking to stay on top of La Liga play as they move on.
Real Madrid has continued winning and they won over Malaga and Levante and they last pulled a draw against Atletico Madrid and now they have the chance to pull ahead with a win against Barcelona. Ronaldo is leading the club in scoring and he has once again been having a great season and Gareth Bale has been a success in his first season and he is leading in assists and is third in goals and he will be the main focus for Barca. Atletico won earlier in the day and now they are moving into things with the chance to pull back with a win and that will make things very interesting heading into the back end of the season.
Karim Benzema, Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo have been the top players for the team this season and they have scored over half the goals for the team this year and they will be a main priority for Barca as they work the match to start. Both sides need the points and Barca comes in with Messi leading the team in scoring despite being out for a long period of time earlier in the year and now they are looking to get the win here against Madrid.
Barca comes in after a huge win at home against Osasuna with seven goals and before that the team won over Manchester City in the Champions League and now they are through and will play against their rivals in Atletico Madrid in the Champs quarters and that will be a tough go for both sides as they push to the end of the season.
