The NCAA Tournament is live with the Kansas Jayhawks against Stanford on Sunday for a place in the Sweet 16 and the college basketball tourney has KU and the Cardinal facing off at 12:15 pm ET on CBS and streaming from the March Madness website and the south bracket has the 10 seed and the number two matching up for a chance to advance in the dance.

The Jayhawks come into the game after winning their first round matchup against Eastern Kentucky and Andrew Wiggins comes in after scoring 19 points in that game and he has been great for the team all season as a freshman. Perry Ellis has been playing very well and now Wiggins will try and lead his team into the Sweet 16 and they will join teams like Michigan State, Louisville, Dayton and Florida in the next round. Kansas and Stanford are looking to face off against Dayton after they upset Syracuse and that was one of the biggest wins of the tournament and Florida is looking to play either SF Austin or UCLA in the next round if they win in the south on Sunday.

Kansas has been one of the best offensive teams in the nation this season and they have also been one of the most efficient and that has been in large part due to the way Wiggins and Ellis have played along with Joel Embiid, who has been out for these two games but could return for the next round if the team advances. The team comes in averaging nearly 80 points per game this season and they are in the top 40 in rebounding and assists per game, while the team is sixth in field goal percentage with nearly 50 percent and Ellis has been a big part of that, as he has been hot shooting from the floor this season. The team lost to Iowa State in the Big 12 tournament and that came after they won the regular season title and went 14-4 on the season in the conference.

Wiggins likely will be going to the NBA next season and Embiid could be following him with Ellis and that makes for a big challenge for Bill Self and now these players will try their best to make a championship run this season. Wiggins is leading the team in scoring ahead of Elis and he is averaging 17 points per game and Embiid was tops in rebounding over Ellis and Wayne Selden Jr. has been playing very well and the Jayhawks are looking to build on their past success on Sunday.
