The New York Giants and the Chicago Bears will meet on Thursday night football on the NFL Network to kick off Week 6 and it is a matchup of two teams that need to win, especially the Giants at 0-5 and the Bears are coming into the game after losing their last two games following a 3-0 start.

The Bears are coming into the season with high expectations after hiring Marc Trestman to take over for Lovie Smith and after just missing out on the playoffs last season the pressure is on to get back this year. Trestman has the offense looking better than last season and while Jay Cutler had three picks two weeks ago, he has been having one of his best starts and now he will get the chance to matchup against a terrible Giants secondary on Thursday and that could mean some big numbers for Cutler, Brandon Marshall, Alshon Jeffery and Matt Forte.

Cutler passed for 358 yards last week, the most he has gone for on the season along with completing 72 percent of his passes, but the Saints were just too good on Sunday and won the game. Cutler has been getting much better protection than he has in years, being sacked only three times and with the Giants pass rush looking terrible as well, he could have time on Thursday night.

The Week 6 matchup is a solid one for Cutler and he is coming off a game where he threw for two touchdowns and zero picks and he will try for that again on Thursday. This season Cutler is completing over 65 percent of his passes with 10 touchdowns and six picks and he has passed for over 300 yards in the past two games and he likely will make it three against the Giants.

Alshon Jeffery and Brandon Marshall are poised for big games and if the Giants try to shutdown Marshall, Jeffery will be looking to have another big game after catching 10 balls last week. Jeffery was the breakout fantasy player in all of football last week after making 10 catches for 218 yards and a touchdown and that marks the second week in a row where he was targeted over 10 times and had over 100 yards receiving. Jeffery has made 15 catches for over 300 yards and has had two touchdowns in the past two weeks and he is looking for another big game on Thursday night.

Brandon Marshall has been slowed up over the past couple week and he is coming off of a game where he had four catches and five targets for just 30 yards, although he did add a touchdown in the game. Matt Forte is coming into the game while having a very solid season, as Trestman has put him in the offense in a bigger role in the passing game, as he already has 27 receptions for 200 yards. Forte is over 500 total yards for the season and he has rushed for 375 yards this season with three touchdowns. Over the past two weeks he has had at least 12 carries and he is averaging over four yards per carry for the season.

The game on Thursday night football will be on the NFL network at 8:25 and will have the NY Giants visiting the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field.
