The Chicago Bears are heading into the Thursday night football matchup against the New York Giants looking for a win after losing two straight games and based on records, they should have an easy time, as NY is 0-5 and will be desperate at kickoff around 8:25 PM on NFL Network.

The Bears started off the season with three straight wins under new coach Marc Trestman, but they have hit a small rough patch since then, losing two straight games against the New Orleans Saints and the Detroit Lions to put them at 3-2. Quarterback Jay Cutler had a solid game despite tossing three interceptions and while Alshon Jeffery had 218 receiving yards, the Bears still lost to the Saints and now they will try to rebound against the Giants.

The Bears opened the season with a win over the Bengals by three points and then outlasted the Vikings by one before blowing out the Steelers on Sunday night football. The team now is on a two game losing streak and they will have a long week to prepare for their next game against the Washington Redskins, which will be on Sunday at 1 pm on Fox. The Bears are looking to get back to the playoffs after just missing out last season and now Cutler and Trestman will try and get the team back on the winning side of things.

The Bears have a very formidable second half schedule with the Green Bay Packers on Monday night football to start things off and then the team hosts the Detroit Lions after losing to them on the road back in Week 4. The division is expected to be tight with the Lions, Packers and Bears, so they will need to win every division game they can heading down the stretch. The Packers game is the first of two MNF matchups and then the team host the Lions before playing at home against the Baltimore Ravens.

After playing two home games, the team hits the road for four out of five games, travelling to play the St. Louis Rams and the Minnesota Vikings before hosting the Dallas Cowboys for their second Monday night football matchup. That game could be huge and puts up two high powered quarterbacks against each other.

The Bears then will play two more road games against the Cleveland Browns and the Philadelphia Eagles and after that, the team will finish the season with a home game against the Packers that could have conference and divisional implications. The team currently ranks 12th in passing yards per game and 16th in rushing and Jay Cutler ranks fifth in the league in TDs and ninth in yards with 10 touchdowns and 1,368 yards.
