Lionel Messi is the best player in the world and with that can come unwanted attention and after getting taken off towards the end of a match against Real Sociedad this week, he came back against the media and called out "lies" that were reported about a rift between him and the managing staff.

According to ESPNFC.com, reports came out after the match, which Barca won 4-1, that Messi was not happy with manager Gerardo Martino for taking him off during the match. The media reported that Messi was upset, but he shot back at those claims, calling them "lies" and saying that any reporting about him making a "gesture" at his manager were also false and that he accepted what happened.

Messi wrote that message on Facebook and said that there were no issues between the two and that any reporting on that matter was false. Martino said he understood why Messi could be frustrated after getting subbed out, but Martino also said it was in the best interests of the team and the team has continued to remain undefeated in league play and Messi has been a big part of that.

From his Facebook: "I didn't mean to make any gesture when Martino took me off. Nobody likes to be out, but we must accept it because it is the best for our team."
