In a story that likely won't make the headlines at ESPN, the website Busted Coverage is reporting on a story that involves Washington Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III, a Hooters waitress and his wedding day all wrapped into one.

The story, picked up by Deadspin.com as well, shows off some text messages and other Twitter conversations that reportedly involve Griffin and a woman named Meredith Barber, who is a Hooters waitress and a VCU student. The report says that Griffin texted her and spoke with her multiple times on his wedding day and also that the two have had a "relationship" that includes some pictures being sent back and forth as well.

Deadpsin writes that screenshots were sent in about the conversations as well as the pictures and that there was also another story that someone tried to sell about a person who "catfished" Griffin while posing as an older woman. Deadspin says that someone asked for money for the pictures and the story and while they didn't pick it up, Busted Coverage took over later. The story involves text messages, twitter conversations as well as inappropriate pictures.

Here is part of the story from Busted Coverage about the origins:

"So I was looking through RGIII's twitter feed the night of his wedding.  I followed his RTs to a groomsman of his, William Mallow.  Going through his twitter feed I found a girl he RT that said she missed him.  She looked hot so I looked at her feed.  (@Mere__)  THat night one of her friends tweeted "RGIII getting married today.  Will @Mere__ crash the wedding?"  She responds immediately with "I could show Becky this though"  and its a picture of her text messages with a guy name RgIII in her phone.  The text show a black guy lifting up his shirt showing a six pack and trying to get her to respond.  This is 1am July 6th (day of wedding) and then finally gives up after no response from her."

Griffin was the most dynamic player for the Redskins this season and helped the team win the NFC East for the first time since 1999. Griffin showed poise in the pocket and leadership ability while passing for 3,200 yards and 20 touchdowns while also rushing for 815 yards and seven scores. He also helped lead the team back from a 3-6 record, winning seven straight games to finish the year.

Griffin suffered a serious injury last season and it occurred late in the game in the playoffs agsinst the Seahawks when Griffin was stretching to reach a bad shotgun snap. His knee buckled and twisted on the turf, which was horrible according to the coaches and players, knocking him out of the game. He injured his knee earlier in the season against the Ravens and clearly was not 100 percent during the game against the Seahawks.

Following the injury, Griffin was able to walk on his own, but he never came back in and was replaced by fellow rookie Kirk Cousins. Griffin threw for 84 yards on 10-of-19 passes with two touchdowns in the loss. Griffin tore his ACL, which was diagnosed as a complete tear of the patella graft that was used to repair Griffin's torn ACL suffered at Baylor in 2009, but he appears ready for the season.

The Redskins made the playoffs for the first time since 2007 and reached 10 wins for the first time since 2005. Griffin showed amazing speed and athleticism this season, but the injury and surgery now raises the question about whether he will be the same player again.
