Mets fans will have something to cheer about. Their third baseman David Wright and ace Matt Harvey will start for the national League. For a couple of innings, these two will attempt to win it all for the NL, who is trying to win it's fourth straight All-Star game.
Though the home team gets to show off its stars, it's the AL that features the power hitters as the dynamic duo of Chris Davis and Miguel Cabrera will surely present a challenge for Harvey. Cabrera is the best all around hitter in baseball, while Davis is this year's top slugger having hit 37 home runs in 2013. Though Max Scherzer won't be hitting, he comes into the game as the best pitcher in baseball with a 13-1 record. Is it good news or a bad omen that Scherzer loss his first start of the year before the All-Star game? We will have to find out.
