The Washington Redskins and the Minnesota Vikings will kick off the NFL week 10 schedule on Thursday night football in a game on the NFL Network and the matchup will start at 8:25 PM at Mall of America Field and should be an entertaining game with Robert Griffin and Adrian Peterson streaming online from NFL.com's league pass.

The Vikings have been pretty bad this season and the Washington Redskins are coming into the game having won two of their last three, but alternating wins and losses the past four weeks. The team opened the season with three straight losses and now is hitting the toughest stretch of their schedule after playing the Vikings on Thursday night and that makes this matchup a must-win game for the Skins, as they are still alive in the NFC East but they need to start turning things around now. The team is averaging just over 260 yards per game in the air and is a top 10 rushing team and they should be able to put up yards against a Vikings team that has not been very good against either unit this season.

The Redskins have been one of the more aggressive teams in the league this season and now they will play a team desperate for a win and even though the Vikings have only one this season, they still have Adrian Peterson and that always gives them a chance to win. The Redskins defense has not been very good either and they have giving up well over 350 yards per game, including over 280 through the air and while the Vikings quarterback situation is pretty bad, that is one matchup to keep an eye on and the same goes for AP and the run defense, as they are giving up over 100 per game and he could breakout on Thursday after being bottled up for most of the season. Robert Griffin has been playing much better during the second part of the season and the Redskins are in the middle of a stretch of three road games in four weeks and they will next play against the Philadelphia Eagles on the road and they have already lost to them once this season.

Griffin has over 2,000 yards passing and nine touchdowns and he has been running more as he gets used to his knee coming back and he now ranks second on the team with 257 yards behind Alfred Morris, who has been having another solid season with five touchdowns and a 5.2 yards per carry average to give him nearly 700 on the season and while he isn't putting up numbers like last season, they are more than fine. Pierre Garcon has been the most consistent target for Griffin with 684 yards and 54 catches and two scores, while Jordan Reed has stepped up big time and now he is second on the team with 38 catches for 425 yards on the year. The offense needs more weapons for Griffin to stand up and we'll see if any can do that on Thursday.

The Redskins and Vikings will play on Thursday and it sets up a tough stretch for the Skins, as they have a home game against the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night football in a national game on ESPN after playing the Eagles and after that things continue to get tough. The team host the Giants and the KC Chiefs undefeated at home after that and then travel for two of three at the end against the Atlanta Falcons and the Giants with the Dallas Cowboys sandwiched in the middle. On Thursday, the Washington Redskins will travel to play the Minnesota Vikings at Mall of America Field on Thursday night football starting at 8:25 on the NFL Network.
