The Thursday night football matchup for Week 10 on the NFL Network is a game between the Washington Redskins and the Minnesota Vikings and the game will be starting up at 8:25 pm for the nationally televised broadcast from Mall of America Field and it will be streaming online from NFL.com from the league pass.

The Vikings come into the matchup after a tough loss against the Dallas Cowboys and that was their closest game in a month and the most competitive since the team won their first game of the season against the Steelers in London. The team made the playoffs last season, but that is not likely happening this year as they have lost four in a row coming out of the bye week and with the Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions all ahead in the NFC north division, this should be a tough finish to the year for the Vikings. Adrian Peterson has been solid for the team, but nothing like his 2,000 yards last season and now he comes into the game hoping for a good performance against one of the worst rush defenses in the league, as the Skins are giving up over 100 on the ground per contest.

The Vikings have lost some close games this season, but that was at the beginning of the year and the offense and the defense has slumped pretty bad since and things were going bad enough that Adrian Peterson's name kept coming up in trade offers and rumors. The team has a number of tough games coming up on the schedule and while they won't be a factor in the division, the team could play spoiler for everyone else, as they have multiple divisional games left on the schedule, including against Green Bay and that may come without Aaron Rodgers, as he has a broken collarbone and could be out for quite a bit.

The team plays against the Seattle Seahawks next on the road and that could be impossible to win since the Hawks are so good playing there at home and the Vikings are about to embark on a three road game stretch in four weeks, including the next two against the Seahawks and then against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau. The team will next play against the Chicago Bears at home after previously playing at Soldier Field and then the team plays the Super Bowl champions in the Baltimore Ravens before a matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles. The team has tough games to finish the season with a road game against the Cincinnati Bengals and then they host the Detroit Lions for the final game of the season.

The Redskins come into the game having alternated losses and wins the past four weeks and they come in after starting with three straight losses and the back stretch of the schedule is very tough for Robert Griffin and company. The team last won over the Chargers in overtime and then they will have two straight road games with the Vikings and then the Eagles in a divisional matchup. The team then has home matchups against the New York Giants and the San Francisco 49ers, which will come first on Monday night football on ESPN and should be a very entertaining matchup with two of the best QBs in the league. The Redskins and Vikings will be playing on Thursday night football on the NFL Network starting up at 8:25 pm.
