Thursday Night Football TV Schedule: Start Time and Channel For Washington Redskins and Minnesota Vikings NFL Network Game

Nov 07, 2013 12:58 PM EST

The Washington Redskins and Minnesota Vikings are playing a big game on Thursday night football in Week 10 and the NFL Network game will get started up at 8:25 PM and streaming online from NFL.com at Mall of America Field and is a big game for Robert Griffin and company in the NFC.

The game comes after the Redskins won a tough game against the San Diego Chargers in overtime last week and now they are trying to get back into the mix in the NFC East and this win would be huge for that. The Vikings are just 1-7 on the season and while they have Adrian Peterson, not much else has gone right for the team and now they face off against the Redskins. The team started out with a 1-3 record after losing their first three games of the season and now they have alternated losses and wins since coming out of the bye week and they will try to make it two in a row on Thursday night. The team lost to the Cowboys before beating the Bears, but after a loss to the Broncos that saw them give up over 40 points for the second straight game, the defense needs to get more consistent.

Robert Griffin III has been playing much better since the beginning of the season and he will be the main focus on Thursday night for the Redskins offense and the Vikings defense. The team has a tough stretch coming up after the Vikings with two divisional games against the Eagles and Giants and they also have a home Monday night football matchup against the San Francisco 49ers in the middle of that and the second half docket doesn't get any easier, as the undefeated Chiefs and the struggling Atlanta Falcons are also waiting to play.

The Redskins won the division over the Dallas Cowboys last season in the final matchup of the year and this season the team will play the Giants to finish things off. The team comes in with a solid offense ranked 12th in passing yards per game and sixth in rushing, but the defense has not been quite up to par, as they are ranked 28th in the league in passing yards allowed per game and 22nd in rushing, so they will have to watch out for Peterson on Thursday night.

The team comes in with Griffin ranked second on the team with 250 yards rushing and he has over 2,000 yards passing with nine touchdowns and Alfred Morris could have a solid game, as he has nearly 700 yards and five touchdowns this season. Jordan Reed and Pierre Garcon have been the top two players for the team in receiving yards and Griffin will likely go to them plenty on Thursday night. The game will be on the NFL Network for Thursday Night Football and the Washington Redskins will be visiting the Minnesota Vikings at 8:25 pm.
