The NFL Draft over this weekend only brought more questions and few answers about the future of Tim Tebow, as the New York Jets selected West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith, giving them yet another option with Mark Sanchez and David Garrard on the roster and now the team has decided to release Tebow from the roster.

According to sources from ESPN.com, the Jets released Tebow and possibly are considering releasing Sanchez and taking a large cap hit, while giving Smith a chance while learning from Garrard. Tebow worked with Chris Weinke and Vinny Testaverde before heading into voluntary workouts. The draft didn't make things any more clear, although Smith would likely have a chance to start heading into training camp.

The Jets have spent the offseason trying to trade Tebow and the team found no taker at the draft while selecting Sheldon Richardson and Dee Milliner with their first two picks before going to Smith and a number of other need areas, including the offensive line. Tebow may end up on the roster next season, but if not he could have another career as a businessman. Tebow is setting up shop in his home state of Florida and will invest into a number of PDQ restaurants, which are a fast-food chain in the Tampa area that sells chicken sandwiches.

According to Jacksonville.com, PDQ stands for People Dedicated to Quality and the report says that he will start with one restaurant in Jacksonville. The chain sells a number of chicken options, including salads, tenders and fries as well as shakes and turkey sandwiches. Tebow visited one of the chains a couple years ago and was impressed and the company already has seven locations, according to the main website, and is planning on a number of more around Florida.

Tebow could have a number of options if he is released by the Jets and he could be in line for a position change, although the quarterback said that he would like to remain where he is. Tebow threw for just 39 yards and rushed for 102 yards while being used sparingly by the Jets.
