Tim Tebow knows that the New York Jets have been shopping him all offseason and their latest chance has been at the NFL draft in New York and while the buzz says that he likely won't be moved, but rather released, the quarterback isn't worrying about it, as he is in Texas preparing for a speaking appearance on Friday.

According to the Dallas News, Tebow is in the area to speak at a Involved for Life event on Friday and at another event as well the following day at the Hilton Anatole Dallas. The report says that Tebow will talk on Friday at the Dallas Omni Hotel before speaking at the Trinity Christian Academy fundraiser and so far both are on schedule, which was different than the last time he may have been in Dallas, as he cancelled an appearance at the controversial First Baptist Church of Dallas after some media pressure.

Carolyn Cline, president and CEO of Involved for Life, sasid the group is happy to have Tebow, who cancelled his previous appearance at the church of pastor Dr. Robert Jeffress, who has made many hateful remarks and controversial statements in the past about homosexuality, Mormonism and Catholicism as well as other religions.

Tebow has always been open about his faith and it is one of the most important traits about the quarterback, who likely will not be with the Jets next season after the team acquired him in a trade from the Broncos last year. The quarterback rushed for only 102 yards and passed for 39 while the Jets kept him on the sidelines for most of the year and appeared to have no idea how to use him in their offense.

Tebow was excellent while with the Broncos, leading the team to a division title and the playoffs, something that Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez has not been able to do over the past two seasons. The Jets made their picks on Thursday in the NFL draft and there was no word on Tebow, as the team picked Dee Milliner and Sheldon Richardson with the ninth and 13th picks. Tebow is likely on his way out of town, as reports say that the Jets could go for a quarterback in the second round, including Geno Smith, Ryan Nassib or Matt Barkley.

Last year the Jets started Greg McElroy over Tebow when Sanchez was benched and proved they wasted the trade by not using him at every chance they could. Tebow now is behind Sanchez and David Garrard and likely has no chance to start next season despite the fact that Sanchez was terrible last year. Tebow has shown the ability to win in the NFL and while he doesn't have a classic throwing motion, that hasn't stopped him from winning championship at every level of football he has played, including in high school and college.

Tebow could end up with a number of different teams if he is released, including the Patriots, Browns, Cardinals and Buccaneers, who could be a perfect fir since he is from Florida and they want some competition for Josh Freeman. Tebow deserves the chance to start after proving he could win in the NFL and despite the fact that the Jets never gave him a shot doesn't mean he can't win in another city with another franchise.
