The NBA standings heading into the Friday schedule has the Golden State Warriors, Cleveland Cavaliers and San Antonio Spurs as the top teams in the league. The Warriors, Spurs, Cavaliers, Thunder, Hawks and Raptors are the current division leaders heading into the weekend.

The Warriors have continued to play at a historic level and the team is in contention to set the record for most wins in a season. The team has gone 8-2 over their last 10 games and they remain undefeated at home and in divisional play. The Warriors are 39-4 coming into the Friday schedule and even with their amazing run, the team is only two games ahead of the Spurs in the overall standings.

The Warriors lead the league with 114.6 points per game and they have continued to play at an extremely high level into the end of January. The team has the best record in the NBA, while the Spurs, Cavaliers and Thunder are the next teams in the overall standings. The Spurs have gone 10-0 over their last 10 games and they will continue to push the Warriors in the west standings if they keep playing at this rate. The Spurs are also undefeated at home this season with a 24-0 record, while the Warriors are 19-0 at home this season.

The Cavaliers are 30-11 on the season and they are the top team in the east over the Raptors heading into the weekend. The overall standings has the OKC Thunder next ahead of Toronto, while the Clippers, Hawks, Bulls, Grizzlies and Mavericks are next in the league by best record. The next run of the standings has teams like the Pacers, Pistons, Miami Heat, Boston Celtics, Houston Rockets and New York Knicks.

The Knicks are 22-22 this season and that is some major improvement after the team won its sixth game of the year in January last season. The Knicks are in ahead of the Wizards, Magic, Kings, Hornets and Bucks, while the Jazz and Blazers are next. The Nuggets are next in the standings ahead of the Pelicans and Suns, while the Timberwolves come in at 13-31 on the season. The bottom three teams in the standings are the Brooklyn Nets, Los Angeles Lakers and Philadelphia 76ers.

The Raptors are leading the Atlantic division over the Celtics, while the Cavaliers are leading the Central division over the Bulls. The Hawks have a lead over Miami in the Southeast, while the Thunder lead the Northwest over the Jazz. The Warriors are leading the Pacific over the Clippers, while the Spurs are leading the Southwest over the Mavericks.
