The College Football Playoff National Championship game is set with the Alabama Crimson Tide and Clemson Tigers facing off on January 11. The game is from University of Phoenix Stadium in Arizona and the TV coverage will be from ESPN starting at 8:30 pm ET as Nick Saban and Dabo Swinney lead their teams into the title game.

Alabama comes in as the favorite despite Clemson being undefeated and ranked number one in the playoff standings. According to ESPN.com, the Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas has Alabama as a seven-point favorite over Clemson for the national title game. Alabama dominated Michigan State 38-0 in the semifinal matchup between the two teams and now the Crimson Tide has the chance to get things done against Clemson.

The Tigers also looked impressive in their semifinal matchup, winning over Oklahoma 37-17 to advance to the title game. Clemson came into that game as underdogs, but they dominated and the matchup was not a close one by the end. Nick Saban and Alabama have won three titles together and have been the favorites in each of those games.

Clemson and Oklahoma played close in the first half, but the Tigers pulled away in the second half and the team now has a chance for an undefeated season. The Alabama defense was dominant and the team held a 31-0 lead by the end of the third quarter. Last season Ohio State defeated Oregon for the playoff title and now these two teams will play the second matchup for the national title in the College Football Playoff format.
