The Penn State Nittany Lions and Northwestern Wildcats are playing live on the Big Ten college football schedule on Saturday and the game is on TV from ESPNU. The game starts at 12 pm ET and is streaming online from WatchESPN at Ryan Field as Christian Hackenberg tries to lead PSU to a victory.

Penn State comes into the game after a shutout win against Illinois and now they have a tough stretch against ranked teams. The Nittany Lions come in having won two straight after a loss to Ohio State and now they have Northwestern, Michigan and Michigan State to end the season. Those teams are all ranked and Penn State comes in at 7-2 with a 4-1 record in the conference.

The Wildcats are 6-2 this season and 2-2 in the Big Ten and they are looking to get another conference win after beating Nebraska in their last game. The team won close by two on the road against the Huskers and now they have Penn State at home. The team lost two in a row against Iowa and Michigan before winning against Nebraska and before that the team shutout Minnesota. The back stretch of the season has Purdue, Wisconsin and Illinois for Northwestern.

Penn State hadn't pitched a shutout since 2013 and the defense is looking to keep players like Clayton Thorson and Justin Jackson in check. The Wildcats had last week off and will be looking to pressure Christian Hackenberg, who has thrown for 1787 yards, 13 touchdowns and just two interceptions this season. Penn State has been able to pressure the quarterback this season and Carl Nassib has 14.5 sacks coming into the game.

Penn State is under .500 on the road this season and now they have to head into a tough place to play at Northwestern. The Wildcats have lost once in five games at home this season and they will be looking to get another win on Saturday.
