David Price is one of the top free agents on the market this offseason and teams like the Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Francisco Giants, St. Louis Cardinals, New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox could be potential landing spots for the pitcher. Price is coming off of another strong season after being traded from the Detroit Tigers to the Toronto Blue Jays at the deadline.

Price is 30 and he could command the highest free agent contract of any player this offseason. Price is coming into the offseason after going 18-5 with a 2.45 ERA in 32 starts, striking out 225 batters in 220 innings. Price is a top of the line starter and would be an ace on almost any team in baseball and Fobes.com reports that Price "is expected" to look for a deal around $200 million.

Bob Nightengale at USA Today reports that Price could end up with the Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers, San Francisco Giants or St. Louis Cardinals as a free agent. The Giants are reportedly looking to sign a top starting pitcher this offseason, while the Dodgers have Zack Greinke opting out of his contract and are expected to try and get him to return. The Cubs have money to spend and last season they already showed willingness to do it with Jon Lester, who signed a $150 million deal.

The Blue Jays likely will make a run at Price and after the experience he had in the playoffs last season, he could consider signing with the team. The Blue Jays are not considered favorites to keep Price, as they may not go as high as Price is looking for on a contract. The Cubs are a potential fit, as they could use another top of the line starter next to Jon Lester and Jake Arrieta heading into next year. The roster is filled with young stars and getting someone like Price could make the team World Series favorites.

The local media in San Francisco has been speculating that the team could add a top of the line starter and this offseason that means Zack Greinke or Price. The Giants would love to get another prime pitcher to put in next to Madison Bumgarner and they have shown in the past they are willing to spend. The Cardinals were mentioned as a trade option for Price last year and they also could be a fit. The Yankees will be mentioned in the Price chase, but the team is likely going to look at some of the mid-level players over giving out a $200 million contract.
