The Denver Nuggets may look at a Ty Lawson trade this offseason after his second DUI, as he could be traded after the signing of Jameer Nelson and draft pick of Emmanuel Mudiay and this comes as the team also could consider a Kenneth Faired trade this year if the team struggles and pulls a rebuild heading into next season.

Lawson has been mentioned in trade rumors since last season and the more moves the Nuggets make, the more likely it seems that he will be out of Denver. According to Pro Basketball Talk, TMZ reported that Lawson was hit with his second DUI this year and that could be part of the end for him in Denver. The team is preparing as if he is not going to be there, as the Nuggets have added multiple point guards this offseason to the roster.

According to ESPN.com, the Nuggets signed Jameer Nelson to a free agent deal, adding the point guard on a contract worth around $13 million over three years. The team has also signed Nikola Jokic and they reportedly have brought back Wilson Chandler on an extension as well. Lawson's DUI is not a good look, but there is still a chance he could be an option for teams, as he was fairly productive last season. Lawson averaged 15 points and started 75 games and he also put up a career high 9.2 assists per contest.

The latest development may mean that teams are not willing to trade for Lawson, but it also could mean teams can get him at a cheaper price. The Kings previously looked into trading for Lawson, but with Rajon Rondo signed, it's highly unlikely they pull off the move. The Celtics also reportedly had interest, but with Marcus Smart already there he likely would be a backup. Boston has emerged as a trade option for Danilo Gallinari and there is a chance that the Nuggets could try and package Lawson in a deal to the Celtics to get rid of his contract.

Earlier in the offseason Kenneth Faried came up in trade rumors, as the Kings were looking at possibly moving DeMarcus Cousins. George Karl reportedly wanted Faried and Lawson, but after the moves the Kings have made this summer, that likely is off the table. The Nuggets may consider a deal with Faried, as he is their most tradable asset and if they "reset" at any point this year, he could get moved. Adding Mudiay gives the team some hope for the future and they may want to build around Faried and the point guard if they moves Lawson instead.

Yahoo Sports reports that Chandler has signed a four-year, $46 million extension and compared to other deals this offseason, it looks like a deal that is a steal. Moving forward the team is excited about what Mudiay can do, as he slipped to them in the draft and GM Tim Connelly said that he did not expect he would have the chance to draft the guard. According to Pro Basketball Talk, Mudiay has been the "most impressive rookie" in the Summer League and he has "stood out" against higher profile players.
