Dec 11, 2014 08:09 PM EST

The Cleveland Cavaliers and Oklahoma City Thunder are playing live on the TNT NBA schedule on Thursday and the game starts at 8 pm ET as LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook battle and the Cavs come in on a nice winning streak and this matchup will be from Chesapeake Energy Arena in OKC.

The Cavaliers have been on a nice winning streak and they now are 13-7 on the season and have won eight games in a row. The team will try and make it nine against the Thunder and it comes with Westbrook and Durant back in the lineup. Many wondered if the two players would be back for this game and here they are and now James and company get to battle with one of the best teams (not by record right now) in the league. OKC should bounce back with the stars back in the fold and this is a nice test for the Cavs.

James comes in after leading the Cavs to a win over the Raptors and that was the second win against Toronto in as many games over the past week. The team lost to the Raptors earlier in the season and now they appear to be in top form heading into the back stretch of December. The team has a road matchup with the Pelicans coming next on the schedule and they currently are ranked seventh in the league in points scored per game. The team is also in the top 10 in assists and points allowed this season.

The team now has a slight lead in the central division over the Bulls and it's likely that these two teams will battle it out until the end of the season in that group. James is dealing with some soreness in his knee, but he is not expected to miss any time and could sit out some practices to get it back to full strength. The Oklahoma City Thunder come in ranked 28th in scoring this season and that should even out once Durant and Westbrook get some more time on the court this season.

The team comes in after a win against the Bucks and they are now third in the northwest division and they will play against the Wolves after a matchup with the Cavs. The team is sixth in rebounds per game and third in points allowed per game and this should be a very good matchup as the first game in a doubleheader on Thursday. Westbrook led the team with 28 points against the Bucks, while Durant had seven assists and now those two appear to be getting their legs back after missing chunks of time.

The Cavaliers have not lost this month and they came into this streak at two games under .500 after a loss to the Raptors and since then they have won over some good teams. The team won over Toronto twice and the Washington Wizards and they took care of business against bad teams like the Knicks and Magic. Coming up the team has some tough games, including against Atlanta and Memphis and after that on Christmas the team returns to Miami for LeBron James and his first trip back to South Beach.
