The Nebraska Cornhuskers and Iowa Hawkeyes are playing on the Big Ten conference schedule on Friday and the college football matchup starts at 12 pm ET and will be playing live on TV from ABC and streaming on the WatchESPN website from Kinnick Stadium as Ameer Abdullah leads the Huskers into the matchup.

The Huskers come in after a four point loss against Minnesota and they are now 8-3 on the season and just 4-3 in the Big Ten. Iowa has the same record in the conference and this is the final matchup for Nebraska. The team has not played well against top 25 teams and they were just 0-3 against ranked opponents and this gives the team a chance to finish the season on a high note. Abdullah comes in as one of the top running backs in the nation and he has 1417 yards this year.

The Cornhuskers come in averaging over 250 yards on the ground this season and they are ranked in the top 20 in points scored per game. The defense is allowing 24 points per game and the team is looking to snap a two game losing streak after falling to the Badgers and Minnesota. Both of those teams were ranked and the loss against the Gophers was the third loss against a top 25 team this year for Nebraska.

Iowa comes in after a loss to Wisconsin and they are 7-4 on the season and 4-3 in the conference as they end the year against Nebraska. The Badgers have been running over opponents all season and they did that to Iowa and Nebraska and now those two teams match up. Iowa is allowing just 22 points per game this season and that is ranked 33rd in the nation coming into this game.

Abdullah is a Heisman candidate this season, but Wisconsin RB Melvin Gordon has overshadowed him in the conference and the Huskers star comes in with 18 TDs this season. Abdullah is averaging six yards per carry and he has four games over 200 yards this season. Over the last three games Abdullah has been held under 100 yards and before that he scored seven touchdowns in the previous two games. Wisconsin and Minnesota are leading the west division and it's up to Ohio State to hang onto things in the east. The Buckeyes have the chance to make the playoff and they are undefeated in conference play.

Nebraska opened the season with five straight wins before losing to Michigan State and after that the team won three straight games, including matchups with Northwestern and Purdue. The team allowed over 50 points to Wisconsin in the loss a couple weeks ago and they now finish on the road at Iowa.
