The Los Angeles Dodgers may look at a Matt Kemp trade this offseason to break up the logjam in the outfield with Yasiel Puig, Andre Ethier and Carl Crawford and teams like the San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners could be interested in making a move.

Kemp has been mentioned in trade rumors since last year and the Dodgers likely would have to pick up money on his contract to get a deal done. According to Fox Sports and Hardball Talk, Kemp has been discussed in deals with the San Diego Padres and Seattle Mariners this offseason and the Dodgers could look at moving him later in the winter.

The Padres are the latest team to come up in trade rumors and it comes after San Diego was mentioned in connection with a number of players this offseason, including Pablo Sandoval. Kemp had a strong finish to the season while hitting .309 over the second half and that could get some teams to bite on a trade, especially if the Dodgers pick up money. Kemp is signed to a big deal and that could be the biggest issue in moving him, but a team like the Mariners could overlook that to add a power bat.

The Mariners have been looking for more power for a couple years and now that they have Robinson Cano they are considered a team that is going to be active this offseason. The team locked up Kyle Seager on a big contract extension this offseason and they could look at signing Nelson Cruz after looking at Hanley Ramirez and Victor Martinez as potential options.
