The Seattle Sounders and FC Dallas are playing live on the MLS Cup schedule from CenturyLink Field on Monday and the second leg matchup has a 1-1 score and the game is on the NBC Sports Network and streaming online live from the NBCSN Live Extra website as Clint Dempsey and DeAndre Yedlin try to advance to the conference finals in the west against the LA Galaxy and Landon Donovan.
Seattle is the favorite in this matchup and they have the chance to advance after winning the Supporters Shield and they are looking to keep things going after the first match at Toyota Stadium. The team pulled even with Dallas in the first match and that was a huge goal and the Sounders have not won in three postseason games dating back to last year. The team lost both against Portland and now they have the chance to advance on Monday.
The Sounders would be the first Supporters Shield winner to get to the semis in a few years and the last team to do it was the Galaxy. The Sounders and the Galaxy is the matchup everyone is hoping for and that would have plenty of star power in the series.
In other action, the MLS Cup playoffs are moving into the conference finals and the LA Galaxy are in after a 5-0 win against Real Salt Lake after a hat trick from Landon Donovan, while the New England Revolution have advanced after winning over the Columbus Crew and now the Seattle Sounders will look to do the same when they play Monday to join the NY Red Bulls as the other team into the postseason round.
The Red Bulls advanced over the weekend and Seattle plays on Monday, while the Galaxy now look like the team to beat, as they have not lost at home in quite some time. The Galaxy got a hat trick from star Landon Donovan and they now have put Real Salt Lake down for the season and they await the Seattle and Dallas series to see who they will play, although the Sounders are favored.
The Galaxy started off fast and now Donovan has the first hat trick in the playoffs in years and he also added an assist. Robbie Keane had a goal and three assists and now the Galaxy have the chance to really keep things going and they totally dominated the matchup. The Revolution won over the Crew 3-1 and are now through to the conference finals after winning the first game 4-2. The team now plays against the Red Bulls in the eastern conference finals.
