The New Orleans Pelicans and Cleveland Cavaliers are playing live on the NBA schedule on Monday and the game is a homecoming again for LeBron James and the Cavs after a road trip and the game starts at 7 pm ET from Quicken Loans Arena and the game is on TV from Fox Sports Ohio and on the NBA League Pass as Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving try and keep rolling after a win over the Nuggets.
The Cavaliers have been struggling this season and are just 2-3 on the year, but LeBron James and company now come home for the first time since starting the season and that could be big for the team. The Cavs were dealing with some chemistry issues and Kyrie Irving went seven quarters without an assist, but now the team is getting into a groove. The team had just six assists to set a franchise low of this road trip in one game, but they came back big against the Nuggets and pulled out that matchup.
James led the team with 22 points and was more assertive and he also had 11 assists, while Kevin Love had eight rebounds. Dion Waiters has been a mess, but the team will figure out what to do with him and after coming home to play against Anthony Davis and the Pelicans, the team will hit the road against the Boston Celtics for a matchup. The Cavs have not been off to a great start and that is why they are 17th in the league in scoring by points per game, but that should only get better as the season goes on.
The Cavaliers come into the game after snapping a two game losing streak against the Nuggets and now they have the Pelicans and a trip to Boston before a nice home stretch. The team has the Hawks and the Nuggets at home before playing against the San Antonio Spurs and that will be a rematch for James with the champions after they beat him last year in the finals. The team has a tough schedule for the month overall, but some winnable games, including with the Wizards, Raptors, Magic and Pacers coming up and that will lead into the December schedule.
The Cavaliers come into the game looking to get things on track for the first part of the season and LeBron James said it would take time for the team to play winning basketball. Love and James long with Irving give the team a strong three that can match anyone in the league, but right now the Bulls look like the better roster for the time being.
