Nov 01, 2014 07:23 PM EDT

The Stanford Cardinal and Oregon Ducks are playing live on the Pac-12 football conference schedule on Saturday and the game from Autzen Stadium is on FOX and has Marcus Mariota and company looking to keep their strong season going and they are ranked fifth in the nation and have the chance to make the college football playoff.

Mariota is one of the best players in the nation and he has 2283 yards and 24 touchdowns this season and he has the chance to be a Heisman winner. The team has been thrilled with how he has played and they are ranked in the top 30 in both passing and rushing yards and they are fifth ranked in scoring this season. Mariota had 326 passing yards last week in the win over Cal and now the team has Stanford before playing Utah.

The team is first in the North division and they look like they will be playing in the conference championship once again and they come in having won three straight games. The team was upset by Arizona earlier in the season and that came after four straight wins and that included a win over Michigan State when they were in the top 10.

The team comes in after wins over UCLA and Wahsington and they last won against California and Stanford is next and then the team finishes with Utah and Colorado before the rivalry game. The team will play against Oregon State in Corvallis for the final game of the season and that will be huge for both sides and gives Oregon the chance to finish the season with a tough win. Many see Oregon as the team to make the college football playoff in the Pac-12, but they can't afford to lose another game.
