The LA Galaxy and Real Salt Lake are playing live on the MLS Cup playoffs schedule on Saturday and the matchup is live from Rio Tinto Stadium for the first leg as Landon Donovan and company come in and the game is live on NBC Sports Network on TV and streaming from the NBCSN Live Extra website starting up at 8 pm and comes after Los Angeles had a strong season.
The two teams are meeting in the western conference playoffs for the second time in as many years and this first leg matchup will be big for both teams. Real made it to the finals last year and the Galaxy have been very strong toward the end of this season and Real came back last year to win over LA and now the teams will try and do it again. LA nearly won the Supporters Shield this season and lost to the Seattle Sounders and they had not lost in a bit.
Real Salt Lake comes in after not allowing a goal through five hours of games and the two teams come in with 11 wins in head to head matchups each. The playoffs will continue on Sunday and the other game on Saturday had the New England Revolution and Columbus Crew matching up. The Seattle Sounders are the top team in the west and the favorites for the title.
