Wide receiver Odell Beckham #13 of the New York Giants celebrates with wide receiver Victor Cruz #80 after scoring a 15 yard touchdown in the fourth quarter against the Atlanta Falcons during their game at MetLife Stadium on October 5, 2014 in East Rutherford, New Jersey. "

The NY Giants have lost Victor Cruz for the season at wide receiver and now Odell Beckham, Rueben Randle and Preston Parker will move up the depth chart and fantasy football owners should look at those names, while New York also signed Kevin Ogletree off the free agent market and he will face his old team in the Dallas Cowboys in Week 7.

The Giants lost Cruz to a knee injury and now he will be out for the season and that opens things up for Odell Beckham and Rueben Randle in the offense. According to Pro Football Talk, Cruz suffered a torn right patellar tendon and that will keep him out for this season and could leave him at 85-90 percent of the player he once was. Cruz signed a new contract last year and now the Giants will have to move on without him. Odell Beckham is the most logical pickup for fantasy owners, while Randle and Ogletree could be solid in deeper leagues.

Cruz had two 100 yard games in the past four weeks and now owners need to replace that production. Two years ago Cruz had 10 TDs and had over 1000 yards in back to back seasons and now he will not return until 2015. Beckham comes in as a rookie and his speed could help make up for the loss of Cruz, as he has six catches for 72 yards and a TD already in just two games.

Randle has been up and down, but he should get more targets and he comes in to the next game with 28 catches for 247 yards and two scores and he could be a sleeper going forward. Randle and Beckham were LSU teammates and now they are the hope for the Giants at WR. Corey Washington is also an option, but only in deeper leagues until we see how much he plays.

The Giants were a mess last season and Cruz was one of the most consistent options for the team and now his career may never be the same. Cruz looked like he was just heating up coming into the game against the Eagles and now the Giants will be without him for a year. Last season Cruz missed the final two games and came up two yards short of his third straight 1,000 yard season, but now he will be looking at a long recovery. Cruz broke out four years ago against the Eagles and now his career has been derailed for a bit against that same team.

The Giants have been dealing with a number of injuries and now they are down both Rashad Jennings and Cruz, although Jennings is expected back soon. The team has the Dallas Cowboys next on the schedule and they have been one of the best teams in the NFL to start the season, while they have a bye week after that and then another tough game with the Colts. The Giants are now 3-3 and they are in the mix, but it's close to falling off if they can't play well over the next stretch of five games, including against the Seahawks and the 49ers.
