The Thursday night football schedule on CBS for Week 4 picks up with the NY Giants visiting the Washington Redskins for an NFC East divisional matchup and the TV start time for the game is past 8:25 pm ET as Eli Manning leads New York on the road after their first win of the season and both teams will be in on a short week after games on Sunday.

The Giants come into the game at 1-2 and so do the Redskins and that adds even more pressure to both teams for this game since it's a divisional matchup. The Giants started last season 0-6, so they have at least pushed that aside, but dropping a game here would be tough, as New York has a very rough schedule coming up. The Redskins starts a stretch of three road games in four weeks and all of those games happen to be in the division.

The team has the Falcons at home and then the team plays against the Eagles and Cowboys in back to back games and the Philly matchup is on Sunday night football. The Giants already have avoided the start they had last season, but the difference between 2-2 and 1-3 is very different and that is at stake on Thursday night. Eli Manning finally looked good in the offense and things could be coming together for the Giants after their strong performance against the Texans last weekend.

Manning was accurate and he took care of the ball and the receivers looked in step with him for the first time this season. Victor Cruz could be heating up after getting to salsa for the first time in what felt like years, while Larry Donnell has stepped up at tight end. The TE position was considered to be a huge weakness for the Giants and they have shown that Donnell has some major talent and he could be a surprise for the rest of this season.

Rashad Jennings had an amazing game against the Texans and he set a career high with 176 yards on the ground. The team needs him to keep things going and after David Wilson had to retire, Andre Williams gets the chance to step up and the Giants would love for him to contribute. The team loves what they have in Jennings and he has the chance to stay hot against the Redskins.

The Giants second half schedule is very tough for the Giants in the second half, as they come out playing three games in a row against playoff teams following their bye. The team has the Colts on Monday night football out of the bye before playing the Seahawks in Seattle and that is always a tough test and that likely will be a loss. The team has two home games against the Niners and Cowboys and those are not easy and then the team has arguably their only easy game of the season against the Jaguars after that.

The Giants are Redskins are both looking to keep things going on Thursday night and the game is on TV from CBS.
