The Chicago Bulls are interested in free agent Ray Allen this offseason and he is now the most coveted target on the market along with Jordan Crawford, as LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers are recruiting him while the Washington Wizards, Los Angeles Clippers, San Antonio Spurs and Miami Heat have also had interest in bringing in the veteran sharpshooter.

According to ESPN.com, the Bulls are now the latest team to check in on Allen and this comes after the team missed out on the Kevin Love trade and also added other free agents this offseason. The big signing was Pau Gasol and the team also added Aaron Brooks and traded for Doug McDermott during the NBA draft this year for the draft rights to Gary Harris. Allen played limited minutes for the Miami Heat last season, but he made his presence felt and he is still a very strong three point shooter and offensive option from the outside.

Allen comes in after averaging 9.6 points per game last season and he is getting wooed by a number of teams, including the Wizards and the Clippers. Allen could be a nice fit with any of the teams chasing him, but he has said he wants to win another championship, meaning he likely will pick between the Cavaliers, Spurs and Clippers. The Wizards are an option as well, but they are not as likely to win a championship and on top of that, Paul Pierce signed there and him and Allen aren't BFFs anymore.

Allen is an option for the Clippers, as they could use another outside shooter and that would reunite him with his former coach in Doc Rivers. The Clippers have Chris Paul and Blake Griffin and a new owner and they could be a favorite in the west. Allen looks like he would be perfectly suited to play for the Spurs and that is another option for him as well. The Cavaliers look like they are the favorites right now and ESPN.com reports that Allen is not retiring this season.

Allen comes in as a valuable option on the free agent market and the Bulls are now a team in the mix to sign him. Chicago signed Aaron Brooks this offseason and also added Pau Gasol and they could be one of the favorites in the east this year. The division will be tough with the Cavs signing LeBron James and they also signed James Jones and Mike Miller. The Pacers should still be good despite the fact that they lost Paul George and that makes the central the hardest division in the east.

LeBron and the Cavs have been trying to recruit Allen and this comes as they are the overall favorites. The team pulled off the Kevin Love trade this offseason and that was massive and now the Cavs could look to add another vet.
