Janay Palmer Instagram and Phone Call Online: Ray Rice Wife Supports Husband After Punch In Josina Anderson Conversation

Running back Ray Rice of the Baltimore Ravens pauses while addressing a news conference with his wife Janay at the Ravens training center on May 23, 2014 in Owings Mills, Maryland. Rice spoke publicly for the first time since facing felony assault charges stemming from a February incident involving Janay at an Atlantic City casino."

Ray Rice's wife Janay Palmer stuck by her man on Tuesday, releasing a statement on her personal Instagram account, supporting her husband after he unconsciously knocked her out with a punch in an Atlantic City casino and that came after TMZ released video of the incident, sparking the NFL and the Ravens to suspend and release Rice and recently, reported Josina Anderson spoke with Ray Rice and Palmer, with both saying that they are staying strong during this tough situation.

According to the Baltimore Sun, Palmer put out a statement on Tuesday after the whirlwind that followed after the video was released and she blamed the media for the situation. Palmer supported her husband in the statement, even after he was seen punching her in the face and she also blamed the media, but it was the media that got this situation to where it is, because the NFL and the Ravens were fine with the actions that were taken up until now.

Had that video not come out, Ray Rice would be playing next week. Palmer was forced to explain herself in front of her abuser to Roger Goodell, she was also forced to apologize in front of her abuser at the Ravens facility where they also tweeted about it. Ray Rice was called a great guy by the team in a PR shill story on the website. The Ravens and the NFL were fine with the punishment and the crime. The justice system was fine with not giving jail time for such an egregious situation. Everyone failed.

Palmer is now forced to apologize for her abuser yet again and this is yet another example of how complicated domestic violence situations are and shows just how terrible this country is at dealing with them. Palmer also threw in some support of the Ravens, the team that enabled her abuser to keep the lie about this situation going, as she took responsibility for what happened that night in a press conference with the team.

Nothing in that tape signified any reason for Rice to strike his then fiance and in any situation that is unacceptable. The NFL and the Ravens have been and continue to be willfully ignorant of the situation and they had the chance to get their hands on this tape, but that was not in their interests. Their interests were to get things back to football, get Rice on the field and move on to help keep their bottom line the same.

Palmer has been victimized again and now she has to go through more and while many will pile on her and that is their opinion, she has a tough situation to deal with. She is standing by her abuser and that happens a lot in these cases. Either way, the NFL and the Ravens were willfully ignorant and do not deserve praise for anything they did. It should have happened long ago.

From Instagram:

"I woke up this morning feeling like I had a horrible nightmare, feeling like I'm mourning the death of my closest friend," she wrote. "But to have to accept the fact that it's reality is a nightmare in itself. No one knows the pain that hte media & unwanted options from the public has caused my family. To make us relive a moment in our lives that we regret every day is a horrible thing. To take something away from the man I love that he has worked his ass of for all his life just to gain ratings is horrific.

"THIS IS OUR LIFE! What don't you all get. If your intentions were to hurt us, embarrass us, make us feel alone, take all happiness away, you've succeeded on so many levels. Just know we will continue to grow & show the world what real love is! Ravensnation we love you!"
