The Baylor Bears come into the season as one of the best teams in the nation and they open with SMU live on Fox Sports 1 on TV Sunday and the matchup is streaming online from the Fox Sports Go online website at 7:30 pm ET as the high scoring team from Texas returns with Bryce Petty and they are ranked in the top 10 this season as they come in as Big 12 potential favorites.
Baylor comes in after a very strong season and while they lost to UCF in a bowl game, the team has the chance to be very good again with their offense. The team had over 4000 yards passing from Bryce Petty and while they are losing Lache Seastrunk and his 1177 yards to the NFL, the team has a deep roster full of talent and speed. The team opens with SMU and then has an easy couple of games against Northwestern State and Buffalo and that will be on the road before the team starts the Big 12 conference schedule.
The team has three straight road games and four in five matchups with Buffalo, Iowa and Texas and that comes before a big matchup at home with TCU. The team has West Virginia on the road and that is the first of two in three weeks, including Kansas at home before playing Oklahoma and they come in high ranked this season. The Sooners are one of the national title favorites in the conference and they could be very good and that matchup should be one of the best in the conference this season.
The Bears then end the season with Oklahoma State and then against Texas Tech and that will be a huge matchup of offensive teams. Kansas State ends the season Baylor has the chance to be very good once again and Petty could be in the mix for a Heisman.
