Zenit Saint Petersburg and Standard Liege are playing live on the Champions League playoff schedule on Tuesday and the match starts up at 12 pm ET and live coverage is on FOX soccer and from the WatchESPN website as the UEFA Champs League keeps moving along and this will be from the Petrovsky Stadium in St Petersburg in Russia for the second leg matchup.

The two teams played to a 0-1 draw on Wednesday, August 20 and now St. Petersburg is in position to advance into the Champions' League group stage after the playoff after winning that first match and now they are the home team. Andre Villas-Boas leads his side after Oleg Shatov put the team up in the first leg of the matchup and now the team has the chance to take care of things at home as they try and move into the next stage.

The win for Zenit last week came as all the other matches that day ended in 1-1 ties and now teams like Porto and others are looking to advance. Hulk made a nice play on the goal from Zenit and now they are poised to advance, as they play well at home and Standard has a tough time heading there and this should be a solid matchup.

Zenit said ahead of the playoff that they would not overlook the team and now they can prove that with a win at home. Hector Herrera scored for Porto as they played against Lille and now they have the advantage to move on. In the last game for Zenit, there was just the one goal and that came early in the first half after some great passing from the team. All the hosts for the first leg matches last week ended up without wins and now Zenit is hoping to change that trend this week once the matches start up.

The Champions League saw Real Madrid win over Atletico Madrid last year in Lisbon and that was a huge final and now Real is looking to defend their title. Zenit and Porto now have the chance to move into the next stage. Celtic comes in after their draw against Slovenia's Maribor and they had one goal in that match and now they come home after being up six minutes in and relinquishing that lead. Last week Bayer Leverkusen won over Copenhagen and that gives them the advantage and they play again on the 27th and that should be an interesting matchup as well.

The Champions League playoff has had some great games so far and Arsenal is looking to get into the group stage as well and that will be set after all these games finish. The Champions League has Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea and Liverpool in from the English Premier League after those teams finished atop the EPL table.
