Zenit's player Axel Witsel takes part in a training session of Russian football team FC Zenit Saint Petersburg, on August 19, 2014, in Liege, on the eve of their UEFA Champions League first leg match against Standard de Liege."

Zenit St Petersburg and Standard Liege are playing the first leg of their Champions League playoff on Wednesday and the match is live from Stade Maurice-Dufrasne in Belgium and the match starts at 2:45 pm ET and has coverage from ESPN with a live stream from WatchESPN as these teams try to qualify for the main Champs League tournament and group stage play.

The two teams will play against on Tuesday and that matchup will be in St Petersburg for the second leg and both are looking to advance to the next round. Zenit comes into the match after playing against AEL and they struggled a bit in that game and now will be looking to bounce back and get things going heading into the match with Standard.

Standard comes in after playing a Greek team in the last matchup and they struggled in that and should have a tough time with Zenit on Wednesday. The teams want to advance and in some of the other games the big teams struggled, including Arsenal, who was able to pull out a 0-0 draw against Besiktas, but that at least was on the road and the team should have time to get things together before the next game at Emirates Stadium.

Zenit is the favored team in this matchup and they will be looking to start things off fast and this gives the team the chance to put their last game behind them. Arsenal had Aaron Ramsey sent off late in their draw matchup and they will be looking to get things back on track in the next game and they need Ramsey to play well in all leagues this season, as he could be the top player for the Gunners this year after the solid year he had last season.

Arsenal played at Ataturk Stadium in Istanbul on Tuesday for their match and Arsene Wenger was not happy with the way his side played, but they at least did not leave with a loss. Arsenal had some chances and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain had a very close chance, but that was knocked aside and the team ended up with the scoreless draw.
