Manchester United and Valencia are playing live on the football schedule and this match from Old Trafford is the first home match for the Red Devils new manager Louis Van Gaal in this friendly and names like Wayne Rooney and Luke Shaw should get some action and it starts up past 2:25 pm ET from WatchESPN for this friendly matchup and Man U is looking to get in solid form heading into the start of the Premier League season.

Manchester United comes in after their successful run through the preseason in the United States and they ended up winning the International Champions Cup over Liverpool. The team also had a huge victory over the LA Galaxy of the MLS and the team looked string playing in the preseason and while that isn't always a great indication of how the team will be this season, this year it has an impact.

Man U has a new manager and some new players and after the way last season went, the team needs as much positive development as possible. Rooney is looking to have a strong season and he comes in after scoring his first World Cup goal and while that came as England was eliminated, it still gives him a nice boost heading into the season. The team finished lower than they wanted in the EPL standings last year and Old Trafford was not the home field advantage it once was.

The team is looking to turn back Old Trafford and it comes after numerous streaks were ended last year and now Van Gaal comes in looking to put his stamp on things. The team may have a solid starting lineup and could be like the one they had against Liverpool. Adnan Januzaj, Marouane Fellaini and Robin van Persie will be out for this match, but Rooney and Danny Welbeck will get their chances and Juan Mata is also looking to continue their strong play coming into the game.

Last year Manchester United had a tough season and ended up finishing in seventh place in the Premier League and that was out of Champions League or any other qualifying. The team now is looking to bounce back after getting rid of David Moyes and they feel Van Gaal is the perfect man to turn things around and he has already put his mark on the team a bit and now he gets the chance to debut at home. Wayne Rooney and Danny Welbeck are looking to get more time on the pitch and this could be the chance for the two to breakout.

Valencia has played well this preseason and they won a tournament in Emirates Stadium and they took the Emirates Cup and they have the chance to put on a show here. The game should be competitive and is the last chance for Man U ahead of the Premier League schedule to start the season.
