Oakland has been the best team in baseball this season and Gray has been the most consistent starter for the staff and he now faces off against the Orioles. Gray has a 10-3 record this season and he will be relied on to get the win today against Gausman, who has been very solid for the Orioles this season. Gray has been on a hot streak and the teams are both trying to get two of three after splitting the first games and the west and east division leaders are hoping to keep pushing things in the standings.
Gray has been hot this season heading into the break and he is looking to win against the Orioles after having two rough starts on the road against Baltimore. The Orioles are a handful of games up in the division standings and they need to get on a streak and they have been hitting the ball well of late. Adam Jones is coming off of another All Star game and he drove in five runs to break a streak after getting the win on Saturday and the O's now are looking to make it two in a row after losing the first game in the series.
