The World Cup 2014 knockout stage schedule continues on Sunday and has two big games, as the Netherlands plays against Mexico at Fortaleza, while Costa Rica and Greece play in Recife and these round of 16 games will send teams into the quarterfinals after Brazil won against Chile in the first game in a penalty shootout.
The Dutch side comes in as one of the favorites after the way they played in the group stage and they are a high scoring team and will be favored over Mexico. Robin Van Persie has been playing very well and so has Arjen Robben and now the team has the chance to advance over the Mexican side, who made it into the World Cup after some help from the United States. Mexico got some great play from their goalie in the group stage and they will need that against the high scoring Netherlands, who made it to the finals in South America last time in 2010 against Spain.
The next game has a surprise team in Costa Rica along with Greece, with CR the team that advanced over England and Italy in the group stage and those were to major shockers and now the team tries to keep the magic going at Recife, where the US just played a wet game with Germany. The big match on Tuesday has the United States trying to advance against Belgium and they could be without some key players on the Belgian side, while Jozy Altidore could be set for a return.
