The World Cup 2014 tournament is near the knockout stages and through group play the Golden Boot goal leaders are Lionel Messi, James Rodriguez and Neymar with four goals for Argentina and Brazil over Karim Benzema and Thomas Muller for France and Germany with three and with just four games left in the group stage, those names should take the lead into the Round of 16.

Lionel Messi and Neymar are the lead scorers over Karim Benzema, Thomas Muller, Robin Van Persie and a group of other players with three. Messi and Neymar have four goal apiece and the recent goal for Messi to get Argentina through to the next round and he had a crucial goal against Iran to secure that win. Muller had a hat trick in one of his games, while Arjen Robben and Robin Van Persie have been very strong for Netherlands and Xherdan Shaqiri had a hat trick for the Swiss to get them through to the next round. James Rodriguez has been playing well and he has three, while Clint Dempsey has two goals for the United States.

The group stage is nearly over and the knockout round is coming up and Brazil and Mexico are through in Group A and in Group B it's the Netherlands and the big surprise in Costa Rica. Spain was eliminated in Group B and in Group C Colombia advances with Greece over Ivory Coast and Japan, while France and Switzerland are in Group E and they advanced over Ecuador and Honduras.

Argentina and Nigeria advanced in Group F, while the Group of death in Group G still has all four teams alive with the United States, Germany, Ghana and the United States. Group F has Belgium in already, while Algeria leads Russia and South Korea heading into the finals game.
