The United States and Ghana will matchup on the Word Cup 2014 schedule on Monday and the game is streaming live online from ESPN and the WatchESPN website from Natal at the Estadio das Dunas starting up at 6 pm ET and the Group G matchup is a crucial one if these teams want to make it to the next stage and this venue will host a number of matches for the World Cup tournament.

The US team has a tough hill to climb to get out of the group stage and they are the underdogs of this set in Group G behind Portugal, Ghana and Germany, who are considered to be one of the favorites in the tournament. Brazil won their opening match and they are now at the top of Group A for the moment after getting goals from Neymar and Oscar and now the whole tournament will be in swing as the weeks go by.

The United States opens up with Ghana and they have that in Natal and it is crucial for the team to get a point out of that match and that will be the best chance for the team to move into the next round. The United States had their best year in 2013, but they ended up in the group of death and now it will take a bit of a miracle to get things done. The team opens with Ghana and then matches up with Portugal and their final game will be against Germany in Recife. Jozy Altidore and Michael Bradley are going to be key with Landon Donovan not on the team and one thing the US has going for them is Tim Howard in net.

The US needs some breaks and soccer can be a lucky game sometimes and they will need that to win over Germany and also against Ghana. The African team has knocked the US out of the last two World Cup matchups and Portugal comes in with one of the best players in the world in Cristiano Ronaldo. The only hope for the US is that Portugal is dealing with an injury to Ronaldo and he may not be 100 percent even if he plays. The game against Portugal is in the stadium in the Amazon and that could be a tough trip, as the US has the longest travel schedule of anyone in the tournament.

Jurgen Klinsmann obviously has a connection to the German team and they are one of the strongest in the tournament and that could make that game very difficult to win. The team was very good heading into qualifying and now the matchups will be crucial early on as they try to advance. The US played strong with 15 wins in 16 matches at one point and they are in the toughest group in the tournament and have to find a way to scratch out some points.
