NBA Trade Rumors 2014: David Lee, Klay Thompson, Harrison Barnes, Greg Monroe, Jeff Green Options In Kevin Love Trade or NY Knicks, Chicago Bulls?

The NBA offseason is coming and that means trade rumors will be bouncing around the league involving Kevin Love and some names that have been mentioned as possible options on the trading block for a blockbuster deal includes David Lee, Klay Thompson, Harrison Barnes, Greg Monroe, Terrence Jones, Jeff Green and Omer Asik and some of those players could also interest the Lakers, NY Knicks or Chicago Bulls this summer.

The main reason for all the trade talk heading out of the playoffs is due to Kevin Love, as he will be a free agent after next season and there is a chance that the Minnesota Timberwolves will trade him at some point. Love has expressed that he wants to test the market after this season and that means Minnesota now has a major decision to make, as the longer they wait the less leverage they have in making a deal. SI.com put together a nice list of deals and players that could move for Love and some of the teams mentioned include the Phoenix Suns, Golden State Warriors, NY Knicks, Chicago Bulls, LA Lakers and Boston Celtics.

The SI.com article puts together some proposals with draft picks and players and names like David Lee, Klay Thompson, Harrison Barnes, Greg Monroe, Terrence Jones, Jeff Green, Carlos Boozer and Taj Gibson were all mentioned in potential trade deals with the Wolves for Love. The Chicago Bulls are shaping themselves to make some moves this offseason, as they could jump in on the Love trade talk and they also are planning on going after Carmelo Anthony or LeBron James in free agency if that doesn't work out.

Love has said that he is open to deals to the Golden State Warriors and Chicago Bulls and right now those two teams look like they have the best chance at getting a trade done. Love has been one of the most consistent players in the NBA over the past few years and he is shaping up to be the next big free agent signing if he makes it to the market, but many teams are hoping that he doesn't because it likely means they are out of it. The Celtics and Suns are wild cards, as they have the first round picks to get a deal done, while the Bulls and Warriors have the best crop of players to deal.

The Timberwolves must decide what to do, as names like David Lee, Klay Thompson, Harrison Barnes and Draymond Green could be in the mix for the Warriors. The team just hired Steve Kerr and adding someone like Kevin Love could put them over the top in the west. The Pistons have Greg Monroe as a restricted free agent and they could use that to their advantage, while the Celtics also have Jeff Green and Jared Sullinger along with other players to use. The Rockets have Chandler Parsons and Terrence Jones as well as Omer Asik and Jeremy Lin as assets.

The Wolves could set themselves back years if they mess up the Love situation and it's pretty clear he is not signing an extension, meaning the big trade either will come in the summer or at the deadline if it goes down.
