The Los Angeles Clippers won over the Golden State Warriors in Game 7 of their NBA playoffs series on Saturday night and Chris Paul led the way for the team and now they are up in the NBA standings 4-3 and advance into the second round of the western conference postseason and they will matchup with the Oklahoma City Thunder and Kevin Durant after they won their series with the Grizzlies and now the Clips will play on as the Donald Sterling scandal unfolds.

Blake Griffin had a fantastic acrobatic play that kept the Clippers up and he made the layup and he missed the free throw and at that point had scored 24 and it left it a one possession game with the Warriors getting the ball. JJ Redick hit a huge three before Steph Curry made all three of his free throws after a foul and the Clippers got another alley oop from Blake Griffin to DeAndre Jordan and that kept the lead at five with less than 15 seconds left before the Warriors made a three to cut the lead to two.

DeAndre Jordan had a huge block and a put back dunk on a Chris Paul miss that was huge for the Clippers and he just used his strength and that was hit 18th rebound of the night at the time and he was perfect shooting at that time and he had three blocks. Jordan now is the first in history to have three games of 18 rebounds or more and four blocks in a game in a seven game series.

The Warriors led by eight at halftime and the Clippers stormed back and they ended up with a 42-30 to start the second half and the Clips got some great play from Chris Paul and JJ Redick and the team continued to force a number of turnovers from Golden State to keep the lead going. Stephen Curry played very well for the Warriors, but he appeared to injure his hamstring late in the game and it may have stopped him from being as explosive down the stretch.

Curry was leading the Warriors in assists and scoring heading into the final minutes of the fourth quarter and Chris Paul had 12 assists going into the final seven minutes and he played great for the Clippers. DeAndre Jordan had another strong game with double digit rebounds and the Clippers outscored the warriors 31-20 in the third quarter and that was the most important spot for the team and they also outscored them by six in the second quarter. The Clippers were rocked in Game 4 amid the Donald Sterling story coming out and they rebounded to win Game 5 before losing in Game 6 in a close matchup.

The Thunder advanced after winning their game 7 matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies and now they are into the second round and Kevin Durant led the way with 33 points, while Russell Westbrook had a triple double with 10 rebounds and 16 assists and he put up numbers like no one has ever done in the playoffs. The Blazers are through to the next round and the Dallas Mavericks play the San Antonio Spurs in the one and eight matchup on Sunday to see who gets through in that series.
