Champions League Final Schedule and Results: Atletico Madrid Wins Over Chelsea To Face Real Madrid In Lisbon For Championship

Chelsea and Atletico Madrid played the second leg of their Champions League semifinals round on Wednesday from Stamford Bridge and the Blues lost the matchup on aggregate 3-1 and now Atletico advances to play rival Real Madrid and that matchup will be in Lisbon and it will be at the Estádio do Sport Lisboa e Benfica on May 24 for the matchup between the clubs.

Real Madrid advanced after bombarding Bayern Munich in their semi and they ended up winning on a 5-0 aggregate and now Atletico will move on after the two sides played a scoreless draw in the first match. Atletico got goals from Adrian, Diego Costa and Arda Turan after Fernando Torres started things off for Chelsea and now this is the second defeat for Jose Mourinho of the year at Stamford Bridge after he lost in the EPL earlier in the season against Sunderland.

The Blues came into the game with momentum after winning over Liverpool in the EPL over the weekend and while they remained in contention for that title, the team now is out of the Champions League. The Blues now have to try and salvage their season in the Premier League, while Real and Atletico are also battling in the La Liga standings and they have a matchup coming in May that will be huge for all soccer fans in Madrid.
