Tim Tebow remains on the free agent market and while the latest rumors do not have any teams looking to sign him right now as he prepares for his ESPN TV job, teams like the Oakland Raiders, Chicago Bears, Jacksonville Jaguars, Buffalo Bills, Cleveland Browns, Minnesota Vikings and Arizona Cardinals have situations where he could fit as a backup quarterback and heading into training camp he could get a look from one of those clubs.

Tebow is not on anyone's radar right now and that is partly because of his ESPN job, but that shouldn't stop teams from looking at him as a backup option, as Tebow proved he can win in this league even though he is not a prototypical quarterback. Tebow has been on the free agent market since the Patriots released him after the preseason last year ahead of the regular season and he hasn't had much interest since then. The only decent lead has been some internal discussions by the St. Louis Rams, but that was only within the team and came after Sam Bradford went down with a season ending knee injury last season.

Tebow was so-so with the Patriots and Bill Belichick was likely doing his boy Josh McDaniels a favor, but either way, he never had a chance with the Pats, as they have not taken three QBs in the past few years into the season and they already had Ryan Mallett as the backup for Tom Brady. One thing that Belichick did show though was that a team could have Tebow on their team and not have it turn into a circus, as it is about the organization more than the player. Sure, Tebow brings out plenty of media based on who he is, but the Jets totally mangled the entire situation when the acquired Tebow.

The team tried to hide what they were doing with him in training camp, just sparking more crazy media and then they basically shuffled him around and never used him properly and then tried to blame him for not being successful. Tebow made a huge mistake going to NY over Jacksonville when he was traded from the Broncos and while that gave him a bigger spotlight, Rex Ryan is a buffoon and so is the organization and they never game him a chance to succeed.

Yes, all you haters are correct, Tebow is not the typical NFL QB, but I'm sorry, how many playoff games or division titles has Blaine Gabbert, Christian Ponder, Terrelle Pryor, Mike Glennon, Geno Smith or Jake Locker won? Pretty it's less than Tebow. Point being, those players for the most part had chances to fail and they continued to get playing time and looks from teams, including Pryor who was just acquired by the Seahawks. So why not Tebow? He deserves a chance to compete and he showed he can win in this league by leading the Broncos to a 7-1 record after taking over for Kyle Orton and he also won against the Steelers in amazing fashion in the playoffs that season.

Yeah, none of these teams will sign Tebow, but he deserves a chance to at least get a job in the league.
