Apr 18, 2014 06:59 PM EDT

The Seattle Mariners and Miami Marlins are playing an interleague series on Friday night and the game from Marlins Park starts up at 7:10 pm ET and is streaming from the MLB.com main website and has Chris Young on the mound for the M's, who have lost three straight to the Texas Rangers and got their first home run from Robinson Cano in the game on Thursday.

The Mariners have been dealing with a massive amount of injuries in their pitching rotation and that is one reason why they have Chris Young starting on Friday and they also have brought up another pitcher to make up for the losses of James Paxton, Taijuan Walker and Hisashi Iwakuma and now they will try to win against the Marlins. The Mariners offense has floundered over the past week since starting off well with a sweep of the Angles and now the team is hoping to get things back on track in the NL series with the Marlins.

The team blew the game against the Rangers two days ago after another gem from Felix Hernandez and that saw the victory go in the bottom of the ninth with Fernando Rodney trying to close it out and now the team is third in the AL West. The team lost against the Rangers on Thursday as well despite getting a HR from Cano and now they will try and get the offense going again. The team is ranked 26th in batting average and Cano and Dustin Ackley are the only players hitting and the team is 28th and 21st in on base and slugging percentage. The pitching has been very good despite the injuries, as the team is seventh in ERA, sixth in WHIP, fourth in BAA and 12th in quality starts and a lot of that has to do with how well King Felix has been pitching this season.

The Marlins come into the game after a loss to the Washington Nationals and that saw another save for Rafael Soriano and now the team is looking to get things on track against the Mariners and they are in last place in the NL East. The team has been hitting very well and they come in at sixth in scoring and third in batting average and the team is sixth in on base and eighth in slugging percentage and they will try and keep that going on Friday night. The pitching has been up and down and the team is 21st in ERA and they are 10th in quality starts and 24th in WHIP along with 27th in BAA and the Mariners bats may help them get those numbers down.
