The SEC Conference Tournament continues live and has South Carolina and Tennessee playing on Friday from the Georgia Dome in Atlanta and the quarterfinals matchups starts at 3 pm and has the Volunteers and Gamecocks streaming live from ESPNU and the WatchESPN website and gives the Vols a chance to get their resume looking better heading into selection Sunday.

Tennessee comes into the game after a win against Missouri to finish the season and everyone in the SEC is chasing Florida after they completed their undefeated seasons in the conference and the Volunteers come in at 20-11 and they demolished Mizzou the last time they played. Missouri and the Gators are going at it on Friday and this quarterfinals matchup has Tennessee coming in after ending the season with four straight wins and they ended up fourth in the conference behind Florida, Kentucky and Georgia and now they have the chance to once again make some nose in the SEC.

Jordan McRae has been the best player for the team this season and he is leading the team in scoring, while Jarnell Stokes has been right there with him and he is second on the team and first in rebounding. McRae and Stokes are the reason the team has been able to hang tight in the conference and now they have the chance to get into the semifinals and Florida will likely be there at the end and they are trying to compete the undefeated season and tournament win in SEC.

McRae is tops on the team with nearly 19 points per game and he is shooting nearly 43 percent this season and he is first on the team in assists as well. Stokes comes in with over 10 rebounds per game and is scoring nearly 15 points per contest and those two players will be the main focus on Friday for both teams. South Carolina comes into the game after a tight win against Arkansas and now they have the chance to pull an upset and they have been bad all year, winning just five times in the SEC and they are 14-19 overall this season.

The team has won three in a row including the tournament and they have won four of the past five and one of those were against Kentucky and that was a huge upset and while they lost to Florida, they can use that game against the Wildcats as motivation for the tournament. The team now has the chance to turn things around a bit and they scoring just under 70 points per game and the defense has not been great, although they are averaging nearly seven steals per game.
