The Washington Redskins had a rough season in 2013 and now heading into the offseason they are looking to cash in with some free agents and some targets may include a Darrelle Revis trade, Aqib Talib, Devin Hester, Champ Bailey, Cortland Finnegan, Brandon Browner and Golden Tate along with Eric Decker and Rashad Jennings.

The Redskins were one of the worst teams against the pass last season and that is why cornerback is likely to be a main focus, while they also are lacking for targets at wide receiver past Pierre Garcon and that could lead them to adding a number of players on the free agent market. The Redskins are finally out of the cap penalties they suffered from trying to be sneaky during the uncapped year and now ESPN.com is reporting that the team could look to add a number of players in the offensive and defensive backfield along with the franchise tag deal with Brian Orakpo. The team is planning on keeping Orakpo and that was why the tag was used and they will continue to try and work out a deal to help keep the cap number in order heading into the spring.

The Redskins had a rough year after winning the division and now they need to add weapons and protection for Robert Griffin, as he is coming back from another injury and will need all the help he can get as Jay Gruden takes over. The offense may be a focus overall for Gruden, but the defense needs a massive overhaul and that is likely to start with cornerbacks and this season's class is a solid one on the free agent market.

Last season the team was ranked last in the league for the first half of the schedule in passing yards allowed per game and while they ended at 20th, giving up 243 yards per game is nothing to be happy about and now they have a number of avenues they can take. The trade for Revis is very unlikely due to his $16 million a year contract, but hey, Dan Snyder has done crazier things. The more likely move is to go after veterans like Browner, Bailey and Finnegan, as they could come in cheaper than some of the younger players to help shore up the defense right away.

Browner comes back onto the market after getting reinstated by the NFL and after his time with the Seahawks hew could be a great option, as he has Pro Bowl talent and is a tall corner. Finnegan was just released and he could be an option, while Bailey was let go by the Denver Broncos and a move to sign him could bring things back full circle after the team traded him for Clinton Portis years ago.

The team could use a boost on special teams and adding Hester could help that as well. Names like Linval Joseph and Jason Avant along with Golden Tate, Jon Beason and Anthony Spencer also could be options. The team has $23 million of cap space to use and that's without factoring in Orakpo and that puts the team in solid position to add players and they should be much better at doing that than last season.
