Arsenal is looking to remain at the top of the English Premier League table and after losing Theo Walcott to a season ending injury to his knee, the Gunners now need some reinforcements at the January transfer window and some names that Arsene Wenger could look for includes Julian Draxler, Mario Mandzukic, Diego Costa, Christian Benteke and others as the Gunners look to win the EPL title.

Walcott was injured in the match against Tottenham in the FA Cup and now he will be out for the World Cup and the rest of the Premier League season as he will be out for six months and now he opens a large hole for the Gunners. Walcott had been playing very well for the club in recent weeks and now he will be out through the summer and it came after he was working to help the team get past the injuries to Olivier Giroud and Nicklas Bendtner and now the Gunners may have to add some more talent.

Julian Draxler, Mario Mandzukic, Diego Costa and Christian Benteke are some names that ESPNFC.com brought up as options in the window and there are other names that Wenger will look for as well. Wenger has already said to reporters that money is available to make moves and last year he brought on Nacho Monreal in January and some other past moves includes Walcott himself a few years ago.

Draxler plays for Schalke and that could be a solid move even though he has a new contract, while Mandzukic plays for Bayern Munich and that could be an option. Costa has been playing well for Atletico Madrid and that would be a nice boost, while Alvaro Morata from real Madrid would fit as well.

Arsenal is coming into the weekend at the top of the EPL table and they are leading Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool and Everton over Tottenham and Manchester United.

Arsenal website: "After coming off injured in Saturday's 2-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur, the Club regrettably announces that Theo Walcott has sustained a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee. Theo will have surgery in London in the near future and is expected to be out for at least six months, therefore missing the remainder of the season and the World Cup in Brazil in the summer.
